Femke Snelting (1969) is an artist and designer, member of De Geuzen (a foundation for multi-visual research) and Constant (foundation for art and media). With Harrisson and Pierre Huyghebaert she forms OSP (Open Source Publishing), a small design research team involved in various aspects of the publishing cycle, from typography to editorial work. OSP tests out in practice how graphic design could work differently, using free software and open content licenses. Writers, artists, typographers, web developers and software programmers collaborate with us on experimental projects that are sometimes commissioned and often self initiated. Operating from the assumption that tools-of-the-trade, design decisions and author rights are somehow interrelated, OSP finds alternative methods for gathering content, production and distribution. http://ospublish.constantvzw.org
